Terms of Use
Last updated 8 September 2026
What these cover
These terms apply to the website at gawan.ca. They do not govern any work we do for you. Monitoring, managed IT, service agreements and project work are covered by the contract for that work, and where the two differ, that contract wins.
Using the site
You are welcome to read, print and share what is here. Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, gain access to parts of it that are not public, or use it in a way that breaks the law or disrupts other people using it.
What the information here is worth
The pages on this site describe what we do in general terms. They are not a quote, not an offer to contract, and not a recommendation for your building.
Anything technical you read here depends on the site it is applied to. Coverage, retention, capacity, licensing and code compliance all change with the building, the jurisdiction and the use. Do not rely on a page here in place of a design for your own project. If you want a recommendation you can act on, ask us and we will look at the actual site.
Our content
The words, images, drawings, logo and design of this site belong to us or to whoever licensed them to us. The name Gawáŋ, the wordmark and the mark are ours. You may quote or reference the site with attribution. Please do not reproduce it wholesale, or use our name or marks to suggest an endorsement or a relationship that does not exist.
Links away from here
This site links to our client portal and, in places, to other organisations. We do not control anything on the other side of a link and we are not responsible for it. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability
We do not promise the site will always be reachable or free of errors. We may change, move or remove anything on it without notice. If something here is out of date and it matters to you, ask us rather than assuming.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from the use of this website or from reliance on anything published here. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and it does not affect the obligations we owe you under a contract for work.
Privacy
What the site collects, and what happens to anything you send through it, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and by the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them belongs to the courts of Manitoba.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and the version published here is the one that applies.
