Systems integration

The work that makes separate systems behave as one, and it does not have to be systems we installed. If you are running three vendors’ platforms that will not speak to each other, this is a job you can buy on its own.

What it does

  • Event and alarm routing

A door forced at 2am puts the camera on the operator’s screen without anyone switching platform, because the event is routed between the systems rather than read off both of them.

  • One operating position

An operator learns one interface instead of five, because the systems present through a single position rather than a desk of separate clients.

  • Workflow and automation

The routine response happens the same way every time, because the sequence is written into the system rather than into a binder nobody opens.

On systems already in place

  • Working with what you have

Three vendors’ systems can be made to talk without replacing any of them, which is usually the difference between a project and a capital request.

  • Assessment first

You find out what will and will not integrate before you commit to it, from a written assessment of the platforms you already run.
